Description :
Dawaipani is one of the most beautiful mines in Darjeeling district. A large number of local and foreign tourists flock to witness the unique view of the sunrise and sunset over the Kanchenjunga in the cloudless sky. Darjeeling city at night looks like a diamond necklace from here. The illuminated view of Namchi Chardham and Ravangla Buddha Park is an added bonus. The word Dawaipani is derived from a river or opening. It is said that medicine (Dawai) was available in the water of this river, which was used to cure various diseases. Its name is Dawaipani. The maximum and minimum temperature here is 6 degrees to 27 degrees.

Here is our New Mountain View Homestay. You will get five rooms with four beds and modern facilities including western toilet, geyser in each room. The clear Kanchenjunga can be seen from the living room and balcony and you can enjoy the unique beauty of sunrise and sunset. You will see the monolova view of Darjeeling city illuminated at night.
How to Reach :
Dawaipani can be reached by reserve vehicle directly from New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri. The distance is about 75 km and about 80 km from the nearest airport Bagdogra. Those who want to come by share car should take any bus or share car going to Darjeeling and get down at Zor Bungalow. From there, 6 miles by share car and then reach Dawaipani by reserve car. And those who come from Kalingpong will go down 6 miles through Peshak, Lopchu by share car, and from there by reserve car to Dawaipani.
Local Sightseeing :
The places to see from Dawaipani can be roughly divided into two. Ek, Tagda, Tinchule, Lamhata, Triveni view point. Two, Ghum Monastery, Batasiya Loop, HMI, Night Angle Park, Darjeeling Zoo, Rock Garden, Tibetan Refugee Center, Ropeway Point, Tiger Hill, Darjeeling attractions.

From New Jalpaiguri, Siliguri or Bagdogra direct reserve car approx. Rs. 1500 to reserve car from Jor Bungalow. Rs. 250 per person by shared jeep for 6 miles from Kalingpong. Dawaipani reserve car from 6 miles around Rs. 800-1000.
The cost of staying and eating at our homestay is Rs. 1200 to 1400 per person (subject to change according to the number of people and time).
Best Time to Visit :
October to December and March to May are ideal times to visit here.
