Description :
Sillerygaon is a small town in Kalimpong district, the gateway to the ancient silk route. Located at an altitude of about 6000 feet, this hill village has about 60 houses, which are the original inhabitants. In this village full of greenery, various flowers and birds can be seen. The livelihood of the tribals here is mainly agriculture. However, currently the tourism industry occupies the majority of the economy here. The vast Kanchenjunga lies across its northern side and Nepal on its western side. People who love tourism have come back again and again due to the great attraction of seeing the white and white Kanchenjunga in the cloudless sky. The maximum and minimum temperature here is approximately 6 degrees to 29 degrees.

How to Reach :
The distance from the nearest railway station New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri is about 90 km and from the nearest airport Bagdogra about 95 km. 23 km from Kalingpong. Silerigaon can be reached directly by reserve vehicle. Those who want to come by share car can come to Kalingpong by bus from Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand in Siliguri or by share car from Panitanki Junction. From there it is loose in the share car. And from there you will reach your destination Sileri by reserve vehicle.
Local Sightseeing :
From here take a walk to Ramite View Point which is 3 km away, Damsong Fort which is 4 km away etc. Also see Buddha Park, Hanuman Top, Delo Park, Science Museum, Graham's Home, Morgan House, Golf Course, Durpin Dara Monastery etc.

From New Jalpaiguri, Siliguri or Bagdogra direct reserve car costs approximately Rs. 3500-4500 (depending on the season and vehicle type) and bus fare from Siliguri to Kalingpong is Rs. 130 per person, share jeep Rs. 200 per person. Fare from Kalingpong is Rs. 70 per person. Reserve car from Algara to Silerigaon is about Rs. 700. Kalingpong Sitesin Rs. 3500.
